When I first set out to build Moovn, I had no technical background but only armed with an unwavering belief that technology could be used to move people, drive commerce, and transform lives around the world. It was not easy breaking into the tech space with zero coding experience, especially competing against well funded giants. I remember knocking on countless doors trying to convince investors and industry leaders to believe in my vision, only to be met with skepticism and ridicule. After exhausting every option, I decided to teach myself how to code, and within nine months, I built and launched the first version of the Moovn App with only $5,000. That moment solidified my purpose and confirmed that determination can break barriers and ignite meaningful change.
From those humble beginnings, Moovn Technologies has since evolved from a single market startup in Seattle to a global technology company operating across multiple continents. Within our first three years, we expanded beyond rideshare services to provide B2B transportation in six major U.S. cities, followed by operations in Kenya and Tanzania. Over time, Moovn became known not just as a mobility platform, but as a socially conscious brand deeply rooted in community empowerment.
In 2020, we made a pivotal shift, transforming Moovn into a multi service platform that integrates rideshare, e-commerce, package delivery, and digital payments into one seamless ecosystem. Through our Moovn App, customers can request rides, shop online, send packages, and make cashless transactions using MoovnPay, our proprietary payment wallet. This evolution represents more than business growth; it reflects our commitment to solving real world challenges and fostering inclusive economic opportunities.
Today, I am proud to share that Moovn Technologies has entered a strategic partnership with Mastercard through its Start Path Program, a global initiative supporting innovative fintechs. This partnership amplifies our mission to advance financial inclusion by expanding access to digital payments, remittances, and global financial services, empowering underserved communities and small businesses across emerging markets.
